Getting started - Meet Maddie

Another package arrived super fast from Dollmore, full of teeny tiny clothes for animated people. This is Maddie, Noah’s daughter, she was cut after the MONTHS of drafting before being green lit but we liked her so we rewrote her in. She likes ladybirds, fireworks and re-reading the book Mrs Frisby and the rats of NIMH and she doesn’t like carrots.

And out popped Little Noah

His armature was easier to build than Noah’s as I learned from my mistakes and he is rather charming. We had a slight catastrophe when after twisting him into an awkward pose, his lower body fell off but he was easily mended. Hide and Seek at the Strongroom

This Saturday was spent recording Noah (James Gardner) & Little Noah (Jacob Gardner) at Air Studios in Shoreditch joined by Rach, Josh, Jenny & Rob and we had a blast. Green screening in the Cellar

Bank holiday Monday was spent down in the cellar animating Noah, love love love the new camera and dragon software, it makes 24 frames a second seem a little less painful. Green screen also worked a treat, not much room to move down their but otherwise no complaints 10 seconds 240 frames animated only another 8640ish to go :)

Jake & Jam

Today we recorded the dummy track with James Gardner and his son Jake - so so pleased. They both read beautifully and it was reassuring to hear the script and feel both Noah’s brought to life, to hear the models speak for the first time. *big smiles* Looking forward to recording in The Strongrooms in a few weeks. Funded by the UK Film Council

Here at Littlenobody HQ Liam and myself are all smiles as we heard today we have been funded by Screen East and the UK Film Council for our next animated short I wish I were an Elephant through the New Cinema Digital Shorts scheme. After 4 long months of script development with the lovely Tom William, Sam Burton & Julia Caithness we finally heard, we have the go ahead.
